New Journey Housing seeks to help newcomers. Our clients are newcomers who are in need of support and training as they search for decent, affordable housing (including rental and home ownership). We define "newcomer" as anyone who is a recent immigrant or refugee, or anyone who sees themselves as a newcomer in Canada.

The housing challenges for newcomers to Winnipeg from other nations are probably the most acute, as their knowledge of Canada, and Canadian ways, is naturally limited.

New Journey Housing is a resource centre. We seek to provide resources to those who sponsor newcomers, as well as landlords, caretakers and others who might benefit from housing-related resources. Therefore, even though our primary clientele are newcomers, we will also seek to provide resources to assist friends and sponsors of newcomers, and the landlords and caretakers involved with housing newcomers.
