If you are planning to move to Manitoba there are new measures you must consider during the COVID19 pandemic.
In general, anyone arriving in Manitoba is required to self-isolate for 14-days upon arrival to reduce the spread of COVID-19. However, there are exceptions to this requirement.
More information about self-isolating can be found here https://www.gov.mb.ca/covid19/soe.html
You may probably want to sign a lease to rent a house or apartment before coming to Manitoba. We do not recommend that you do this. It would put yourself at risk of not liking the place or the neighbourhood once you arrive. You also would be at risk of being scammed.
We recommend checking in to temporary accommodations for a few weeks when you arrive, and then do your own housing search in person. We would be glad to help you in your housing search.
Below are our suggestions for temporary accommodations.
